What is Slide Processing?

The E-6 process, a chromogenic photographic process, is used to develop Fujichrome, Ektachrome or other color reversal or slide photographic film. There are some E-6 kits available that allow you to process slides at home. On the other hand, most modern digitalized mini-labs cannot create satisfactory results with cross processed E-6 as their scanner may try color correction to regulate the final image. You can work around this feature by using special, dedicated film scanners or by simply disabling the color correction feature before scanning or printing.
